IT&C International Internship
Note: If you are thinking about doing an international Internship, please meet with your Internship Coordinator to see if this is an option with in your major first. We also encourage you to meet the coordinator in the Kennedy Center.

                    Toggle ItemStep 1: Explore Learning OpportunitiesTo get started, You'll want to see what sorts of opportunities are available. Click here to learn more.

                    Toggle ItemStep 2: Apply to the Internship You LikeOnce you have found some internships that interest you, you'll need to apply with those employers for them.

                    Toggle ItemStep 3: Initial Information Sheet (IIS)You'll need to obtain an Initial Information Sheet (IIS) and fill it out. Then it needs to be turned into the Weidman Center. Once they review it, they will pass it on to the College Internship Coordinator.

                    Toggle ItemStep 4: Kennedy Center ApplicationThe Student needs to go to the Kennedy Center website and begin the International Studies Program (ISP) checklist. Click here to visit the Kennedy Center website and begin that process.

                    Toggle ItemStep 5A: Obtain Departmental ApprovalYou'll need to begin the process of obtaining approval from your department. To do this, you will need to speak with your Faculty Coordinator. Click here to find out who that is.

                    Toggle ItemStep 5B: Sign A Syllabus OverviewYou will also need to get the syllabus overview for your internship course and sign it. Click here to find your course's syllabus overview.

                    Toggle ItemStep 6: Kennedy Center Accepts the ApplicationAfter all these steps have been completed, the Kennedy Center will approve your application and then you will receive a permission to add code from the College Internship Coordinator. You can then register for an internship course.

                    Toggle ItemStep 7: Receive a Scholarship From the Weidman CenterFinally, after a student is registered for an internship course, the Weidman Center issues that student a scholarship.
